Education College of ECUPL, adhering to the Party's and
national educational policies, important thoughts of "Three
Representatives" put forward by Jiang Zeming and
"Three-Oriented Education" put forward by Deng
Xiaoping, meticulously carries out the policies and regulations
on education issued by the State Council and Ministry
of Education. The college continually liberates thought
and refreshes education concepts, expanding the school
operation financially and deepening the education reform.
The college devotes itself to developing a practical school
operation guideline that meets the requirements of our
time and the socialist higher education.

| Currently,
we have been mainly carrying out the National 21st century
Action Plan to Invigorate Education in nurturing senior
comprehensive legal talents who are able to serve the
society. Adhering to the national policies on education,
the college aims at nurturing practical legal talents
with basic knowledge in law, other related knowledge and
competence in |

legal practice.
Thus they could be adapted to building socialism with
Chinese characteristics.
In order to achieve this aim, the
school, on one hand, enhances the standardized management
and improves the quality of teaching, putting forward
the slogan: "Quality is the Life Line of a Continuing
Education College."
On the other hand, it accelerates the
reform and explores new school operating methods such
as online education and operating with overseas partners.
The school is keen to be related to the outside world
and set up new branches. It offers many new majors and
lots of training in various forms. At present, the college
holds 44 teaching branches, covering the area of east
China, Shan Xi, He Bei, Qing Hai and so on.

The school currently has 9324 registered students.
More than thousands of students participate in non-academic
adult education trainings every year. The adult education
comprises of correspondence courses, evening colleges,
self-taught courses and non-academic education trainings.

The college
offers both part-time and full-time courses.There are
such majors as jurisprudence, finance management and
law including levels such as undergraduate, junior college,
certificate of specialty and certificate of complication.
The school is not
only for young people who pursuit higher degrees but
also the middle-aged and the elderly who have the desire
to pursue professional education. It is also for the
leaders from the government departments, judicial branches
and other department staff who need to study law.
Continuing Education College has reached
a new level in terms of the number of its students and
management. It has developed a different objects-oriented,
much mature school operating system, which is characterized
by multiple forms, levels and majors. Meanwhile, we
are exploring positively the new operating methods such
as online education and cooperating with overseas partners.
The college will continue to make efforts to cultivate
versatile and all-round talented people..
During its many years of operating
school, the college always strictly adheres to the national
regulations in the direction of the socialistic education.
The college regards the social needs as its corner stone
and cultivating talented people as its mission. Sticking
to the principle of quality first and operating the
school strictly, the evening school and correspondence
courses in our college was awarded A grade when Ministry
of Justice evaluated the education achievements of correspondence
courses and evening schools in 1997.
Owing to the formal and systematic
education, a huge number of continuing education students
improve their political quality, professional quality
and abilities of legal practice greatly. Meanwhile,
the college contributes greatly to the implementation
of the party¡¯s policies on education, enhancing the
socialism legal building, strengthening the national¡¯s
legal consciousness. It also plays an important role
in creating a learning society in which all the people
are encouraged to learn for a life time.
