Acting as the fundamental rules of Chinese Market Economy, the Company Law of People's Republic of China and the Securities Regulation of People's Republic of China, after being dramatically amended with the aim to adapt to the changing situation, were promulgated on 27th Oct. 2005 by the Standing Committee of National Congress, the top legislature of China.

To celebrate the great event and to examine the loss & gains of the law amendments, the Economic Law Research Center sponsored the Company Law Forum on 21st Nov. 2005, which turned out to be the Fifth Session of such a annual event. Leading scholars in the company law research field were invited to join the academic event, including Professor Peng Bing from Peking University, Professor Tang Xin from Tsing Hua University, Professor Zhao Xudong from China University of Politics & Law, Professor Jiang Daxing from Nanjing University, Professor Gu Gongyun, Professor Wu Hong and Professor Luo Peixin from East China University of Politics & Law. The Company Law Forum was hosted by Professor Luo Peixin.

The academic event triggered the academic thoughts on Company Law and Securities Regulation greatly, and turned out to be a wonderful success on the aids to the students' learning ability.
