Chinese Training Programs at ECUPL

ECUPL is a multidisciplinary university of economics, management, finance, foreign language with focus on law. ECUPL offers comprehensive bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs and has brought up 100 thousands of graduates. ECUPL now has two campuses respectively in Changning District and Songjiang District, covering a total area of 86 hektares. Changning campus, located in the Zhongshan Park commercial area of Shanghai , is the former St John's University . The beautiful campus is awarded Shanghai Garden Unit, whose architecture receives special protection from the government. ECUPL is an ideal study place with its long history in Chinese teaching and highly qualified teaching staff.

Compulsory Courses: Intensive Chinese ， Oral Chinese ， Audio-Visual Chinese ， Chinese Writing ；

Optional Courses: Legal Chinese ， Business Chinese ， Chinese Culture ， China Economy.

3 ） Course Features and Advantages

•  Convenient Location. In Zhongshan Park commercial center, close to Line 2, 3 and 4.

•  Highly qualified teaching staff. Small sized class(No more than 15 students)

•  Every student in Chinese training course will have one Chinese student as their study partner and tutor to provide one to one study assistance. More opportunities to communicate with native Chinese speakers and to learn more about Chinese culture.

•  With the back up of Legal education of ECUPL, we offer Business Chinese and Legal Chinese Courses.

•  With the enrollment at Chinese courses as preparatory courses, which is closely linked with degree courses, students from Chinese Training courses can apply for study at ECUPL for other majors and will enjoy the priority of being awarded scholarship.

III Procedures for Application

1) Applicants may download application forms from ECUPL website. Filled out forms with 4 recent passportsize photos, copies of passport and registration fee should be submitted to Foreign Students Office of International Cultural and Exchange School . Applicants who need on-campus dormitories should mark accommodation application on the application forms.

2 ） Application will be processed by International Cultural and Exchange School and applicants will be informed of the result within one month.

IV Application for Scholarship

After one semester' study at ECUPL, outstanding students can apply for Government Scholarship for Foreign Students or ECUPL Scholarship for Chinese Training programs. Application for Scholarship should be submitted to International Cultural and Exchange School .

V Miscellaneous

Class size ： Courses will be offered only if a minimum of 5 students enrollment and class size will be limited to no more than 15.

Joining the Class Midterm ： Students can join the class within the first two weeks after the courses start. Anybody who wants to join the class two weeks after the courses start should check with ECUPL for the possibility of joining it. A new class can be offered if there are no less than 8 students want to join the class in the middle of the courses.

Accommodations: On campus dormitories or off campus apartments rented by students themselves. Application for on campus dormitories will be considered depends on the availability of the rooms. Check in time for on campus dormitories is 3 days before the registration day.

Songjiang Campus ， twin beds room ， 30RMB per person and per day.

Changning Campus ， twin beds room ， 46 RMB per person and per day.

Visa ： ECUPL will provide documents for visa application.

Insurance: Students who buy overseas insurance at home should provide copies of the insurance. Students can buy insurance through ECUPL upon their arrival.
