The school of Information
Science and Technology, a sub-school of ECUPL, established
in May, 2005, is to meet the demands of the legal building
in an information society.
The
school has advanced modern teaching environment and facilities,
which is a combination of teaching, research and service.

With the university's
support and being a sub-school of university specialized
in law, it mainly offers major of Computer Science &
Technology, which features cultivating versatile practical
talents.The students will be adapted to work in public
security organs, procuratorial organs and people's courts,
law affairs, finance, insurance, economics, international
trade, government and IT. They will be competent to
designing, developing, maintaining and managing the
computer system, high-tech criminal reconnaissance (or
investigation and collecting evidence of computer crime)
and supervision and management of network and information
security. They will also commit themselves to the legal
building and related management in an information society.

| The school boasts a faculty
of 32 staff, among whom there are 2 PhD.s, 1 PhD. candidate,
8 masters, 1 master candidate and 7 who hold the senior
professional posts such as associate professors or higher-level
ones. The school also has 5 part-time professors.

| The faculty attaches much
importance to teaching and research, especially in the
inter-disciplinary of Information Security of Network
and Law. For instance, we have yielded a lot in the research
of computer and network crime, network and information
security and related legal issues. We have published more
than 70 various academic papers and writings (textbooks)
on core |

| journals and important ones. The school
also offers non computer majors more than 20 courses,
which has obtained excellent teaching quality and effects.
